Flores Family
Claire and I met and went to school at Bethany College of Missions in 2008. Bethany was very instrumental in our meeting one another as well as falling in love with our Lord Jesus Christ.
In 2009 we served as mentors with the college. In that time Claire gave birth to our beautiful baby girl Peyton Spring Flores. God also began to give us a little piece of His heart. We started to really desire to go to Africa and work with the poor and lost. (Mathew 25:40)

Andy is a worship pastor with Lima Community Church in Lima , Ohio. They plan to arrive in South Africa in early 2010. Andy's wife Leigh is my wife's sister and she is currently working as a tutor with young children. She has a degree in child psychology. Andy and Leigh gave birth to Norah Grace Myers on September 24, 2009.

Pregnant
We found out that Claire is pregnant with our second child. Her due date is December 30'th 2010. What a wonderful little Christmas gift.
Goodbye's
We will be saying goodbye to Bryan's family on May 30. They will be coming down to Arizona to visit one last time before we leave.
Peyton's Birthday
On May 29'th Peyton will turn 1 year old. We are very blessed with how healthy she has been and all the joy she brings to our lives.
December 2009. Peyton is 6 months old and is sitting on Claire's lap. We have never heard her laugh so hard. Every time I look at this film I laugh too. Something wonderful about seeing a little baby laughing. Proverbs 17:22, "A merry heart does good like medicine."

Ministry
Bible Study
We will be participating with Africa Jam in the young men's bible study in Khayelitsha. Teaching them to observe all the things which Jesus has commanded us. Also taking part in outreaches into the rural areas outside of Cape Town. Training the young men to be eternity minded. Our goal is to create a place where we will be able to develop a solid group of believers who will bear much fruit for the time to come.
Micro Finance Loans
Micro Financing: A hundred dollars may not go a long way here in the States but in Africa it can be life changing. We will be educating South Africans from the slums in creating small businesses. Many of them already have business ideas but there is no way to access the funds with which to create the business. We give them 100.00 and work alongside selected individuals to help create businesses that will in turn generate much needed income for their families. (James 1:27)

A Letter
Hi Bryan and Claire,
You have been on my mind so much lately. We wanted to let you know that we will be making good on our pledge of $25 a month, we also have a small check for you for $50 from an older lady in our congregation. Tai told us that she received medicine samples from her doctor, and took the money she would have used to buy her medication and has made a check for you.

Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
We were in Vermont staying in Claires parents home. Claire has always wanted to chase her dream of graphic design. She had posted on her blog that she was looking to save up for Adobe Illustrator which is a program used in graphic design. The program costs over 500.00 dollars and was a bit out of her reach. I got a message from a friend that they wanted to make her dream come true. This person purchased the software and got it to me before Christmas. She was able to unwrap it on Christmas day much to her excitement and enjoyment.
A Knock At The Door
Fresh From The Garden
I went to visit a friend in Jordan and he took me out to visit his garden. He insisted that I fill up several bags full of fresh vegetables. He gave me; beans, onions, beets, golden potatoes, carrots and others I had never even heard of. I left his home loaded down with more veggies and gratitude than I could have imagined. I brought them home to Claire and we made a big vegetable stew full of the fresh vegetables.
We were staying in Bryans parents home in Jordan Minnesota. We got a knock on our door. A couple that we know and love who live in Jordan were standing outside of our door with big smiles on their faces. They had brought us diapers and a couple boxes filled with snacks and goodies. We were so blessed.
